Pak envoy Abdul Basit should be sent back: NCP

JAMMU, June 27:  Reacting sharply to the remarks of Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit over terrorist attack on CRPF bus at Srinagar in which eight jawans were martyred and many injured, State unit of NCP today said that Pakistani envoy  be sent back to his country.
While paying rich tributes to the brave hearts during a meeting here today, former Minister and NCP state president Th Randhir Singh said that Ramzan is the Holy month and one should not injure the feelings of others, says Quran. Mr Singh condemned the callous attitude of  Pakistan High Commissioner  Abdul Basit  in India who has been trying for the last two years while being posted in New Delhi to spoil the relations between Pakistan and India and Mr Basit just  commented on this attack,   ” It’s the month of Ramzaan, let’s focus on the Iftaar party.  The issue of Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed issue between India and Pakistan. It’s an issue which needs to be solved. We hope we will sit and discuss on the issue and find a solution. Let’s have the Iftaar party and enjoy ourselves”.
Mr Singh said does Mr Basit have not few words to condemn the death of these martyrs who sacrificed their lives whereas, India stood with Pakistan when some school children were killed by the Pakistani Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists in Peshawar. Mr Singh said what Pakistan has to say when  internationally famous  Pakistani Sufi Qawali singer Amjad Sabri was gunned down in Karachi who was coming to Delhi, next month to perform in India. What is the fate of Pakistan?
K K Digra NCP vice president while paying tributes to the martyrs said that Abdullah family is responsible for militancy, corruption, unemployment and polluting the political atmosphere in the entire State. He warned that NC should not utter such a irresponsible provocative statements inside and outside the Assembly  to spoil the brotherhood of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in the interest of regaining power which they have lost badly.
Several other NCP office bearers including R S Billowria, R C Bali, Javed rehman, Liaqat Ali, Satpal Sharma, Dr PD Shastri, Jarnail Khokhar  were also present in the meeting.
