Peas softens on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 22: Peas prices softened by Rs 50 per quintal on lacklustre trade in the wholesale pulses market today.
Traders said slackened demand against adequate stocks position mainly led to a fall in peas prices.
In the national capital, peas white and green prices were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,850-2,900 and Rs 3,000-3,050 per quintal, respectively.
The following are today’s pulses rates per quintal:
Urad 3,800-4,100, Urad Chilka (local) 4,500-4,800, best 5,000-5,500, Dhoya 5,400-5,500, Moong 4,800-5,300, Dal Moong Chilka local 5,150-5,550, Moong Dhoya local 5,650-5,750 and best quality 6,350-6,450.
Masoor small 3,800-4,000, bold 3,950-4,150, Dal Masoor local 4,600-4,700, best quality 4,700-4,800, Malka local 4,200-4,300, best 4,400-4,500, Moth 3,300-3,800, Arhar 4,100-4,400, Dal Arhar Dara 5,700-5,900.
Gram 4,600-5,500, Gram Dal (local) 5,600-5,700, best quality 5,800-5,900, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 2,230, Rajdhani 2,230, Rajmah Chitra 7,300-9,500, Kabli Gram small 5,200-8,700, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 4,100-4,800, Peas white 2,850-2,900 and green 3,000-3,050. (PTI)
