SRINAGAR, June 29: Government today said it is contemplating to hike the salaries of members of State Legislature.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Vikar Rasool Wani in Lower House, Minister incharge Law and Justice stated that the State Government is contemplating to enhance the salaries of members of State Legislature and a bill for the purpose is being introduced in the current session of the State Legislature.
The Minister further stated that a committee has also been constituted by the Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly to look into the demand of enhancement of remuneration of the personal assistance of the members with the direction to submit its report within two months.
