Shiv Sena criticizes JMC action on ‘rehriwalas’

JAMMU, July 1: Shiv Sena (Bala Ji Sahib Thackeray), toady strongly criticized Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for their undue action against poor rehriwalas on the plea of avoiding congestion in the city.
In a meeting of party workers held here today, the State chief of Shiv Sena, Dimpy Kohli said that JMC officers are targeting the poor rehriwalas on the plea to avoid congestion in the city but only by tooling one measure can’t give desired results.
He said JMC is working under the influence of its masters in the Government i.e. elected BJP MLA’s who are least concern about 1 lakh inhabitants whose livelihood is totally dependent upon selling their products on rehris.
Kohli said JMC must to took some other initiatives to avoid congestion viz. to start anti-encroachment drives instead of throwing away the items of poor rehriwalas on the road.
He said that JMC rehri zones are not acceptable to these rehriwalas and JMC must sit with them to give them alternate sites so that these poor people will start their business.
