JAMMU, July 1: A mentally challenged girl died today under mysterious circumstances at a mentally challenged home in Channi Rama area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a mentally challenged girl namely Poli Devi (18), whose other credentials are known, was today found in an unconscious condition at a home for mentally unchallenged people in Channi Rama area falling within the limits of police post Narwal.
He said that the administrator of the home shifted the girl to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem”, the spokesman said, adding a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and investigations started.
