Peas prices move up on pick up in demand

NEW DELHI, July 2:  Peas prices firmed up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today following uptick in demand from retailers coupled with restricted supplies from producing regions.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and pegged around previous levels.
Traders said upsurge in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up peas prices.
Peas white and green rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,600-3,625 and Rs 3,800-3,900 per quintal respectively.

Masoor small Rs 6,050-6,350, bold Rs 6,100-6,400, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,600-7,100, best quality Rs 6,700-7,200, Malka local Rs 7,100-7,400, best Rs 7,200-7,500, Moth Rs 5,500-5,900, Arhar Rs 9,150, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 12,000-13,700.
