Coriander, turmeric fall on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, July 2:  Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists coupled with adequate stocks.
Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 7,600-13,800 and Rs 9,000-12,700 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down the coriander and turmeric prices.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 175-240, black pepper (per kg) 720-840, betel-nut (kg) 230-280, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,320-1,330 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,360-1,600.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 595-765, cardamom (colour robin) 605-615, cardamom bold 635-645, cardamom extra (bold) 725-745 and cloves 550-655. (PTI)
