Almond declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, July 2:  Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Almond (California) prices were down by Rs 100 to Rs 15,700-15,900 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 5 to Rs 555-565 per kg.
Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to slackened demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks following sufficient arrivals from overseas markets.

Almond (California) Rs 15,700-15,900, Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,800-11,200, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,200-5,400; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 555-565 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
