Omar flays CM on 7th PC

SRINAGAR, July 3: Hitting out at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for her statement that 7th Pay Commission recommendations will be implemented at least after two years in J&K, main opposition National Conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah today said it will make things worse as the State will have to find money to pay arrears with effect from January 2016.
“It just makes it worse because the State will have to find the money to pay arrears w.e.f 1/1/2016,” Mr Abdullah, who is former Chief Minister of the State, tweeted. Mr Abdullah was reacting to a tweet which read, “7th Pay Commission in J&K after two years, says CM Mehbooba Mufti.
Dear Govt employees pls be patient; MLAs have just got a 100% salary hike.”  Ms Mufti, had yesterday in the Legislative Council, said the State Government needs some more time to implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, announced by the Union Government for the Central Government employees recently.
