Fresh batch of 1,843 pilgrims leave from Jammu for Amarnath shrine

JAMMU : On the fourth day of yatra, a fresh batch of 1,843 pilgrims left for holy Amarnath cave shrine from here this morning.
“A batch of 1,843 pilgrims comprising 1,414 males, 332 females, 94 male sadhus and 3 sadhvis left in a convoy of 58 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas,” police spokesperson said.
He said that 25 vehicles left for Baltal and 33 for Pahalgam.
The yatra was smoothly heading towards the Kashmir Valley, the spokesperson added. (AGENCIES)
