Delegation of Teachers Forum calls on DSE

JAMMU, July 4: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by its State general secretary, Ganesh Khajuria, called on Director School Education, Jammu and put forth several demands of the teaching community.
The Forum drew attention of the Director towards grievances of Teachers/Master working under SSA, RMSA and NPS schemes, who are without salary for the last so many months. The Forum demanded immediate release of the salary under these schemes and streamlining the system so that teachers/ Masters and their families may not suffer because of no pay for months together.
The Forum also demanded justice to the teachers, who were promoted in February 2014 but have not yet been adjusted as Masters.
Ganesh Khajuria highlighted the demands, such as regularization of RETs who have obtained degrees from Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, early DPC of Masters to Headmasters, increase in honorarium of ReTs, release of Mid Day Meal grants and permission to allow teaching community to go for higher education.
The Director listened to the delegation and assured to look into their demands positively.
The deputation comprised of Rajinder Gupta, Yog Raj Salathia, Gopal Singh, Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Ram Parshad, Rajeshwar Singh Sambyal, Subhash Sharma, Yuv Raj Pathania, Narender Chib, Roop Lal, Meena Sharma and others.
