JAMMU, July 4: Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) has criticized the decision of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to defer implementation of 7th Pay Commission (PC) in the State for at least two years.
While addressing a meeting of the association held here today, JMF president, Imran Qazi, said that on one hand CM doubled the salary of legislators while on the issue of implementation of 7th Pay Commission, she is saying that the State is running through financial crisis.
“If the State is really running through financial crisis, then what was the obligation of increasing salary of legislators to double”, he questioned and added that instead of increasing salary of legislators the CM should have increase the pension of widows, who are getting a meager amount of Rs 200 to 300 per month.
He further said that people have elected legislators to resolve their problems and not of their own.
