Gwen Stefani legally drops Rossdale from her last name

LOS ANGELES, July 7:  Gwen Stefani has dropped “Rossdale” from her last name in the wake of her divorce from Gavin Rossdale.
A judge approved the “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker’s request to change it to her maiden name Gwen Renee Stefani.
Although Gwen has always gone by the same stage name, she legally changed her last name after getting married to Gavin in 2002.
The 46-year-old songstress filed for divorce from the 50-year-old musician in August 2015. They reached divorce settlement in April, reported Ace Showbiz.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar’s latest issue, Gwen opened up about her split from Gavin.
“My dreams were shattered. All I wanted my whole life was to have babies, be married, like what my parents have. It was so insane because not only did my family break up, but then my kids are taken away like half the time, so that was really like, ‘What?! What did I do?’ ”
“Of course you go through the ‘Why me?’ and feel sorry for yourself. But then I was like, ‘No, this happened to me already and I made something good out of it,’ and that was Tragic Kingdom,” she added.
Gwen has since moved on with Blake Shelton. “It was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time. And then everything flipped,” she said.
“It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s gonna happen next’.” (PTI)
