JAMMU, July 7: All J&K Agriculture Employees’ Association (JKAEA), Jammu province, has urged the Government to rethink on the issue of implementation of 7th Pay Commission (PC) in the State.
The issue came up for discussion in a meeting of the association held here today under the chairmanship of Uttam Chand Sharma, Association president and Amrik Singh, chief spokesperson.
While speaking on the occasion, Sharma criticized Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for asking its employees to wait for two more years for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission in the State.
While refereeing to the Chief Minister’s statement that the financial position of the State is not sound, he said if the financial position is not sound, then why the Government has enhanced the salaries/pensions of Legislators/Ex Legislators to almost double.
The association members appealed the Chief Minister to rethink on the issue and implement 7th Pay Commission without forcing the employees to resort to any kind of struggle.
