Residents facing problems due to suspension of construction work

KATHUA, July 8: Due to suspension of the construction work of Kootah-Surara link road, the residents of more than 30 villages are facing manifold problems.
The mini-bus operators also continued their strike, as the condition of the road worsens due to suspension of the construction work, to be carried out by PMGSY.
Due to dilapidated condition of the road, the residents of more than 30 villages including Kanah, Mayan, Nichla, Barla, Loukhli, Badoli, Krarkey, Samthyal, Gungad, Odh, Karmichi, Surara, Ratanpur, Solah, Dasiyan, Said, Sohal, Nouni, Brah and Gazithangar are facing problems.
A deputation comprising women and children under the representation of Murari Lal Sharma, Senior Vice President Hiranagar Block Congress Committee, met SDM Ghagwal ND Sharma and requested him to order for the resumption of the construction work of said road.
SDM asked the concerned Executive Engineer to resume the work and assured the delegation that the work will resume within days.
Sat Paul Choudhary, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqua Surara was also present on the occasion.
