JAMMU, July 8: A man hailing from RS Pura area of city outskirts today found in unconscious condition in Gandhi Nagar area and later succumbed in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
According to a police spokesman, the man identified as Jasbeer Singh son of Ranjeet Singh, resident of Bahu (RS Pura), at present residing in Preet Nagar, Gandhi Nagar (Jammu), was found in unconscious condition near VLCC Centre, Gandhi Nagar, this afternoon.
He said the man was immediately shifted to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, from where he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he expired during treatment.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem”, he said, adding a case in this connection has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
