JAMMU, July 8: Health and Medical Education Department has ordered attachment, transfer and posting of 99 doctors with immediate effect.
According to the order issued by Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, Dr Gurmeet Kour, Incharge Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital, Sarwal has been attached with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Jammu till further orders. During this period, DHS Jammu will look after the work of Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital, Sarwal.
Official sources said that attachment of Dr Gurmeet Kour was ordered on the basis of new system of cleanliness introduced by Health and Medical Education Minister Bali Bhagat.
Under the system, secret teams of health would tour various hospitals to check cleanliness system and take photographs of the dirt, if found anywhere within the premises of the hospitals.
Sources added that one such team had found dirt in Government Hospital Sarwal during the checking, on the basis of which, the Minister ordered attachment of Dr Kour.
