UDHAMPUR, July 9: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today took out a huge rally in Majalta to celebrate opening of Degree College.
The rally passed through several markets and villages and culminated at Bharnara where the massive gathering was addressed by Harshdev Singh, JKNPP chairman and former Minister besides several other leaders of the party.
Complimenting the people of Tehsil Majalta over the fulfillment of their most coveted demand for establishment of Degree College, Harshdev called upon the State Government to ensure immediate commencement of admission process so that the present academic session is not wasted.
Harshdev lambasted the opportunist leaders who were desperately trying to take credit for the opening of the Degree College Majalta notwithstanding the fact that their own Government had filed appeal against the orders of the High Court directing opening of a Degree College on a petition filed by Sarpanchs of Panthers Party of Tehsil Majalta.
He said that the SLP was filed by the BJP-PDP Government in the Supreme Court on January 7, 2016 against the directions of J&K High Court. He said that the SLP was disposed-off by the Supreme Court with a direction to the State Government to issue the order for establishment of Degree College Majalta before July 15, 2016 and to file the compliance report with the Registry of Supreme Court.
Yash Paul Kundal, State president, Young Panthers, while speaking on the occasion said that Panthers Party shall continue to fight for the cause of the people from streets to Supreme Court.
Manju Singh, senior NPP leader assured the people that the party would continue its efforts for ensuring justice to all sections of society.
