JAMMU, July 12: Crime Branch Jammu has registered a case against several persons in fake PRC scam.
These persons are Saroop Singh, Bishamber Singh, Purab Singh, Suraj Singh and Naryan Singh, all sons of Naseeb Singh, Swarn Singh, son of Saroop Singh, Narotam Singh, son of Bishamber Singh and Rajinder Singh, son of Suraj Singh.
According to the Crime Branch case, a written complaint was lodged by one Surat Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Gho Manhasan mentioning that all the accused persons in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy and in connivance with the revenue officials managed fake and forged Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) and thereafter, succeeded in purchasing landed property and securing Government jobs.
On the receipt of this complaint, a preliminary verification was initiated in Crime Branch and the allegations leveled in the complaint were found true.
The omissions and commissions on the part of all the accused prima facie constitute offences punishable under Sections 420,465, 467, 468, 471,120-B RPC, the Crime Branch said.
