Large number of workers of DFSS held protest under the leadership of its President Ashok Gupta and burnt the effigies of the Hurriyat leaders, who are speaking the language of Pakistan, resulting into unrest in the Valley.
While speaking, Gupta said that for the past few days Kashmir is on boil after the killing of the Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, Burhan Wani.
He added that Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharief has made some comments on Kashmir issue. He asked Nawaz Sharief to refrain from making comments on the internal matters of India.
“Summer season is the peak season of tourism in Valley and main source of income for the Kashmiris. Bandh call given by Hurriyat will put financial burden on Kashmiris, which will result in unemployment, poverty, etc”, he stated.
Gupta further stated that the main motive of the band call given by the Hurriyat leaders is to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra so that the Kashmir which is famous tourist destination can be cut off from the rest of the country, adding that around three dozen people had lost there lives in the recent clashes.
He appealed to the youth of Kashmir not to pay heed towards the statements and speeches of Hurriyat leaders, as the latter don’t want the youth of Kashmir to get literate because educated youth will not pay attention to the speeches of Hurriyat leaders.
“I had written to Home Minister, asking him to deal with militants and Hurriyat leaders with iron hands and the security provided to the separatists must be withdrawn.
