JAMMU, July 12: While expressing its grave concern over the violence in the aftermath of the killing of dreaded Hizbul Commander Burhan Wani and his three accomplices in Valley, Panun Kashmir today said that nobody should have any doubt that the creation of separate Homeland with Union territory status on North and East of river Jehlum is the only way for the safe and lasting rehabilitation of Hindus of Kashmir.
“There should be no clusters, no twin cities for us but divide Kashmir into two parts by carving out a separate homeland for the settlement of over seven lakh Pandits in Valley as it was the only solution to the Kashmir issue as well as problems of the exiled Pandits” PK convener Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman Dr Ajay Chrungoo told reporters here today.
They said growing fundamentalism is posing a grave threat to the national unity and integrity and accused the Government for allowing the situation which took an alarming turn in the Valley that was the result of demilitarization of various areas in Kashmir. This way Government has given an impression that Indian Army is “occupational force”, they added.
The PK leaders said had the Indian people have not given massive mandate to Modi Government for making compromises. Either there is an understanding with Pakistan so they are making compromise on various issues. They said Burhan Wani prior to his death had said that he will attack if Pandits were settled in separate colonies and soon after his death colonies were attacked which indicates there was a deep rooted conspiracy.
Expressing concern over the mob protests on the killing of Burhan, Ajay Chrungoo said he was not a freedom fighter but a dreaded terrorist like Bhagdadi of ISIS. Eulogizing him as a freedom fighter is an act against freedom and humanity, he added.
He said the public outpouring in Kashmir is not an expression of freedom movement they are basically fascists and are behaving like the way the Hitler eliminated people in Germany. It is a regressive and destructive movement, he added.
He said first thing needs to be done is the Government should establish the authority of the State. He demanded that KPs in Valley be given safety and they should not be made hostages to separatist order as PK does not want more genocides.
Demanding evacuation of Pandits from Valley, Chrungoo said that as per UN resolution terrorism of any kind should not be legitimized.
“We want to put it on record that the rampaging communal crowds that attacked the transition camp at Haal were just a gate crash away from razing the camp to the ground and creating massacres worse than what happened in Nadimarg and Wandahama”, said Agnishekhar. The attack in Haal was not an isolated incident. The communal attacks on Kashmiri Hindus have happened all across the Kashmir Valley. The reports of the incidents of burning Hindu houses, desecrating temples, life threatening harassment and intimidation are pouring out and a comprehensive picture of the situation will appear before us in coming days, he added.
