JAMMU, July 13: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Danesh Rana called a meeting regarding expeditious movement of the Shri Amarnath Yatra in order to ensure that the yatris are not put to any kind of inconvenience.
Various issues and problems discussed in the meeting included inordinate delay in the Yatra movement especially in view of ongoing unrest in Kashmir valley, security arrangements and other issues related.
During the meeting participants were briefed to ensure proper deployment of escort party with Yatra convoy, proper security arrangements as well logistics for the convenience of the Amarnathji yatris, moreover instructions were also given to the officers of SRTC for timely issuing of tickets to yatris, timely deputing of drivers and vehicles at Base Camp so that inordinate delay be avoided for Yatra convoy.
DC Jammu Simrandeep Singh, SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta, SSP PCR Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma, SP North Jammu Vinod Kumar, Managar SRTC Jammu Zahoor Ahmad, Asstt Manager SRTC Jammu Gurjeet Singh and PA to MD SRTC Jammu Suraj Singh also attended the meeting.
