512 joins CRPF family, takes oath to serve nation

SRINAGAR: Emotional scenes were today witnessed when 512 recruits became members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) after participating in the passing-out parade here.

Immediately after participating in the parade, the constables were greeted by friends and relatives on their achievement.

Commandant Jaidev Kesri administered the oath of allegiance to the new recruits as appointing authority after a year-long training. Additional Director General (ADG), CRPF, Deepak Mishra Srinagar took the salute and reviewed the parade as Chief Guest at RTC, CRPF, Srinagar sprawling campus.      On the occasion, distinguished guests, CRPF personnel and their families were present.

DIGP and Principal RTC Mahesh Kumar highlighted the diversified role of RTC and its growth, adding that it has trained 22,700 recruits till now since its inception in 1990.

These 512 constables hail from different states and are imparted intensive training on connected subjects besides being conditioned to operate in different internal security situations. (AGENCIES)
