Shiv Sena, Dogra Front takes out procession against price hike

JAMMU, Sept 23: The workers of the Shiv Sena and Dogra Front took out a procession against the UPA Government for hiking the prices of diesel and LPG. The procession was taken out under the leadership of Ashok Gupta president Shiv Sena and Dogra Front. It started from Prade Chowk to Shalamar and concluded at City Chowk here. The protestors carrying empty utensils in their hands and LPG cylinder on their shoulder were shouting slogans against price rise.
Addressing the demonstrators Ashok Gupta said a total confusion and chaos prevail over price hike at the Centre and the State Government is shifting responsibility to Centre while Centre blames States. The shifting of the responsibility will not serve any purpose as there is nexus between politicians and the businessman and the common man is suffering due to Government’s apathy, he added.
He said price index has increase many fold due to the wrong economic policies of Central Government.
The price rise is also result of corruption and Jammu & Kashmir figures at top in the list. The pulses are imported from the other countries on lower rates and sold on higher rates to the consumers due to corrupt practices prevailing in the state, he added.
Shiv Sena and Dogra Front asked the MPs to raise the issue in the Lok Sabha.  If they failed to raise the issue forcefully in Parliament the people will vote against these MPs in next Parliamentary elections, said Mr Gupta.
Mr. Gupta demanded immediate action against corrupt Ministers and stock holders so that the common man gets a relief from the price hike in the country. During the UPA tenure the list of the five crore poor people exceed in the number and still it is said “Congress Ka Hath Garib Aadmi Ke Sath”, he added. The prominent those who participated in the protest march are Prem Gandhi, Suresh Sharma ,Ashok Sharma, Raj Singh.
