JAMMU, July 16: A deputation of Diploma Engineers Association called on State BJP president Sat Sharma (MLA) and apprised him of their issues.
Led by president of the Association, Upinder Singh, the members of the deputation raised their issues and sought their resolution at the earliest. They sought streamlining of the PHE Department. The MLA gave full cooperation in resolving their pending issues.
Later, the Association members held protest at PHE complex B C Road. They demanded that stagnation in the promotions be removed. They also demanded enhancement in travelling allowance besides maintenance of 20 % quota of diploma engineers at every level.
