SRINAGAR: Asserting that strict action will be taken against security forces if they were found using disproportionate force while dealing with protestors in Kashmir valley, the State Government said best medical facilities will be provided to the wounded, specially to the youth who have received eye injuries due to pellets.
Meanwhile, asserting that internet and social media was being used to spread rumours at various places in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir chief spokesperson and Education Minister Naeem Akhtar said hopefully if the situation improves in the next one or two days, these services will be restored. “From the last one week, the situation has been very tense in Kashmir valley. It is tough times for the Government and the people of valley. As we have already said, if we receive evidence that disproportionate force was used by security force at any place, strict action will be taken against those personnel,” Mr Akhtar said.
Expressing sorrow over the killing of youth in the last over a week in clashes, he asserted that the Government is committed to provide best medical facilities to the wounded. “Unfortunately a lot of youth have received pellet injuries to their eyes because of which they had to be operated. As already stated, the Government will provide every possible help to them so that they can see again. If any one of them needs special treatment from any hospital in the country, the Government will facilitate and pay the expenses for the surgery,” he said. (AGENCIES)
