SRINAGAR, July 17: According to the Commissioner/ Secretary, School Education Department, the Government has decided to extend the vacations in the winter zone schools of the State by one week in view of the prevailing circumstances, apprehensions of untoward incidents and for ensuring the safety and security of the students.
The schools will now re-open on July 25.
Meanwhile, according to the Director Colleges J&K, the summer vacations in all the Government Degree Colleges of Kashmir division as well as Jammu division have been extended and the colleges will now reopen on July 25.
