NEW DELHI : The Lok Sabha was today adjourned for an hour soon after it met for the day amid pandemonium over alleged violation of Parliamentary security procedures by AAP Member Bhagwant Mann by posting a video on social networking site Facebook.
As soon as the sitting started, Members from the Treasury Benches were on their feet protesting against the act of the AAP member and demanded immediate discussion over the issue.
Two BJP Members Kirit Somaiya and Mahesh Girri and Premsingh Chandumajra(SAD) had given notices of adjournment motion over the issue.
The ruling party Members demanded discussion over the issue with immediate suspension of Question Hour. In the meantime, Samajwadi Party and RJD Members proceeded into the Well waving posters in protest against the government’s alleged bid of diluting prevailing provisions of reservation quota.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan tried to pacify the Members, asking them to maintain calm as she would allow members to raise their issues during Zero Hour. However, Speaker’s persuasion did not work and she was forced to adjourn the House till 1200 hrs.
