JAMMU, July 22: Chairman Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB), Mohinder Singh today inaugurated three- day training programme for the staff members, especially Loan Supervisors at the Bank’s Training Center, Parade, Jammu.
A total of nineteen employees of the bank, especially Junior and Officiating Loan Supervisors besides , Cashier-cum-Clerks, are being imparted three- day training commencing from today. On first day of the training programme, they were made familiar with all types of accounts and their openings, Know Your Customer (KYC) norms, day to day working of the Bank and NPA rules.
While addressing the trainees after inaugurating the programme, Mohinder Singh stressed upon the participants for quality loaning, effective recovery mechanism, customers friendly behaviour, development of moral character and better coordination with the Secretaries of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS). He also asked the officers of senior administration, present there, to make the loaning formalities customer friendly and to launch attractive loaning schemes during specific seasons.
Chairman JCCB further stressed upon the trainees to get them acquainted with effective and quality loaning to both Farm and non-Farm sectors. “The employees especially Loan Supervisors should be trained specifically to handle the loaning and recovery of PACS, Bye-laws of PACS, how to prepare MCLs and Crop Loan applications, statements, demand collections and trial balances etc so that they could perform well in far flung areas and deal with poor farmers who are dependent upon the cooperative banks for loaning,” he added.
Earlier, the Chairman threw light upon the functioning of Bank stating that it is a provincial level bank which came into existence in the year 1914 and providing banking facilities in every nook and corner of 10 districts of the Jammu province through the network of its 89 branches and 16 extension counters.
Mohammad Mushtaq, General Manager (Admn.)/ CEO,  JCC Bank gave introductory speech.
The training programme was inaugurated in presence of Mohammad Mushtaq, General Manager (Admn.)/ CEO, JCC Bank, Director Trainings JCCB Parmanand, Chief Manager Admn. Parveen Sharma, Chief Manager Banking Baldev Sharma, District Managers Jammu Urban and Rural Sanjeev Sharma and Daleep Khajuria respectively besides other staff members of Head Office.
