Pensioners demand implementation of 7th Pay Comm report

KATHUA, July 22:  Pensioners Welfare Association of  district Kathua has demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in the State without any more delay.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Dilsher Singh, district general secretary, the members urged upon the Chief Minister to implement 7th  Pay Commission report in the State. Amar Nath Dogra, district president  said that in view of the price hike in last two years, the working class is facing lot of hardships. The price index has broken the back bone of the low paid employees and pensioners and they need some immediate relief.
He pointed out that Government has given 100 % hike in the pay and perks of Ministers and legislators but right of the employees and pensioners is being denied.  He also criticized the Chief Minister for her recent statement to deny new Pay Commission recommendations for next two years to the employees of the State.  He also demanded that Medical allowance be increased from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners.
Those who spoke in the meeting included Tara Singh, Amrik Singh, Sohan Lal, Dewan Chand, Dalip Singh, Saran Singh, Khushi Ram, Karam Chand, Shambu Nath Verma   and Harnam Singh.
