Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU,  July 22: Reacting sharply to the remarks of several Valley based leaders during all party meeting on Thursday to involve separatists in talks to resolve Kashmir issue,  National Democratic Party (NDP) today asserted that Hurriyat leaders are not the sole representatives of entire Kashmir besides Jammu and Ladakh regions.
In a meeting of the party held here under the chairmanship of  Ravi Bakshi, the members expressed grave concern over the role of Pakistan and Separatists leaders in Kashmir. They said Hurriyat leaders are responsible for the killings of   Kashmiri youth and security persons besides destruction in Kashmir in view of recent turmoil.  They instigated the people and youth to bring bloodshed and destruction to the public property.  The economy of the State has been badly shattered.
The convenor,  JG Sharma  urged upon the Government of India to take stringent action against the Separatists including those indulging in anti-national activities. He demanded that Government must ensure security to Shri Amarnath  Yatris and  the drivers plying their vehicles between Jammu-Srinagar-Baltal and Pahalgam. They said the Yatra should go on smoothly.
The NDP leaders pointed out that Hurriyat leaders are no body to dictate  terms on behalf of the people of Kashmir and Ladakh.  They are not the real representatives. For any  talks over J&K, the stakeholders from  Jammu and Ladakh, elected representatives from Kashmir, refugees from POK, displaced KP community  be involved. Let , the Separatists prove their representative character by taking part in elections first.  Some Valley based political leaders should stop giving them importance and make them ‘high- headed’ as such people only deserve place in the jails, they added.
Rajesh Gupta advocate, Rakesh Khajuria, Sanjay Kakkar (adv),   SC Sharma, Vijay Anand, Raj Kumar Khajuria, Ajay Singh and others attended the meeting.
