JAMMU, July 24: A delegation of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) led by its youth president Sanjay Saraf today called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed the prevailing unrest in Valley and its causes with him.
The LJP leader gave various suggestion to Mr Singh for restoration of normalcy in trouble torn Valley. He while accusing Pakistan for the entire trouble in Kashmir said that for the first time in last 27 years of turmoil Pakistan has been able to tell the world that these are Kashmiri youth who are fighting for freedom from India and not the militants exported from Pakistan inside the Indian territory. The situation reached to this stage soon after the killing of dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani, he added.
Mr Saraf also decried the role of the National channels in this regard saying that they tried to make dreaded terrorist a hero saying that after his killing there is total unrest in Kashmir and the Valley is under curfew for last 15 days. This all added fuel to fire, he added.
Saraf said the Peshawar Army School attack in which scores of children were killed was not highlighted by the national channels to such an extent so that the terrorism could be strongly condemned but Burhan Wani was made a hero.
He also stressed that the Legislators should involve their supporters in the process of restoration of peace by sending their men in their respective areas to hold meetings with the people in this regard and built the contacts with common masses.
Moreover the DCs and SPs should act as ambassadors of the Government in their respective districts and also hold meetings with the people seeking their help and cooperation in defusing the situation.
Expressing grave concern over the attack on transit camps of migrants he demanded that Haal transit camp be shifted to Srinagar and the migrants putting up their be also posted near the city.
