JAMMU, July 26: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes at village Kangri under the Branch Office Bajabain.
DDM NABARD, Des Raj, who was the chief guest, spoke at length about the various schemes of NABARD.
Speaking on the occasion Vipan Gupta, Manager MF&FI Department, J&K Grameen Bank, informed the participants regarding benefits of social security schemes named PMJJBY, PMSBY and Atal Pension Yojana. He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
R K Narang, Area Manager, Rajouri / Poonch J&K Grameen Bank made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in which premium rates to be paid by the farmers have been brought down substantially so as to enable more farmers avail insurance cover against crop loss on account of natural calamities and thrust is also given on activation of Rupay card.
Rupay debit cards were also distributed to the customers.
Representatives of various Line Departments also attended the programme. Besides, huge gathering of Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area also attended the said camp.
