JAMMU: The chopper service to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine remained suspended today for second consecutive day, while the landslide hit blocked Jammu-Srinagar national highway was thrown open for traffic.
“It is continously raining at world famous shrine Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan and base camp Katra since last night and due to foggy and bad weather conditions, helicopter service remained suspended for second day too,” police sources here said.
They said that the pilgrimage on foot is in progress. “The chopper service will resume depending upon the weather conditions,” they added. (AGENCIES)
