LONDON, July 30: “Pretty Little Liars” actress Troian Bellisario has lashed out at Taylor Swift, saying she promotes “false feminism”.
The 30-year-old actress is the latest star to slam the “Shake It Off” hitmaker, claiming she treats her former friends terribly, reported Female First.
“‘I’m so appalled by what I consider to be her false feminism. It seems like she’s this person who’s like, ‘Sisterhood!’ and then she does nothing but tear down the women that were once her friends,” Bellisario said.
The actress is most likely referring to 26-year-old Taylor’s song “Bad Blood” and subsequent video, for which she amassed her “girl squad” to take down an enemy played by her real-life best friend Selena Gomez, but who is believed to be Katy Perry.
The pair fell out in 2013 when a number of Swift’s dancers reportedly left her tour to work with Perry.
Bellisario was also asked about Swift’s ongoing feud with Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West over the rapper’s song “Famous” but insisted she won’t be taking sides because she is not a fan of either of them.
“Oh God. I have such an aversion to the Kardashians because I literally don’t understand people’s obsession with them and I don’t want to accept them as our closest thing to a royal family,” she said.
“Is it possible to just be, like… This is a two-party system that I don’t want to be a part of? Can I just say that? Can I say that I would choose the Green Party in this?” (PTI)
