NSUI seeks cancellation of JU permission on Nursing Colleges

JAMMU, July 31: NSUI has urged Governor N N Vohra to take cognizance of the media report on wrongful approval of the Jammu University on two Nursing Colleges owned by a sitting Minister and ex IGP.
Addressing a press conference, here today, NSUI State president Neeraj Kundan said it was impropriety of the Jammu University that it extended undue favours to a sitting Minister and ex-IGP but also allowed them to illegally sit in the meeting of Deans so that they could influence the decision.
He appealed Governor N N Vohra, who is  Chancellor of the University, to immediately order cancellation of the permission for affiliation inspection of these two Nursing Colleges and also take necessary action against the persons responsible for alleged wrong doing.
Others, who were present in the press conference, included Ranjot Singh and Abhishek Dogra.
