Retirees accorded warm, affectionate send off

JAMMU, July 31: Director Agriculture Jammu Dr Surinder Singh Jamwal, superannuated today after serving for more than 37 years in various capacities. Dr Jamwal along with other retirees was given a warm farewell at Krishi Bhawan here today. The other retirees were Rajinder Singh, Seed Certification Assistant and Tara Chand, Field Assistant, Spawn Production Scheme.
Meanwhile, Sudesh Koul took over as new Director Agriculture Jammu. He assured to take the department to new heights by taking up various issues vigorously for the welfare of farming community and functionaries of the department.
Director Horticulture Jammu, Anil Kumar Sharma, was accorded a warm and affectionate farewell on his superannuation here today after rendering 38 years of services.
Deputy Director Horticulture (Central), CHOs, DHOs, Subject Matter Specialists, HDOs besides other offices and officials of the department extended their best wishes to Sharma for a healthy post retirement life.
The Executive Officer, J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Rajouri, K H Chib, was accorded a warm farewell on superannuation at a function presided over by Deputy Chief Executive Officer J&K Jammu Division, Santosh Saraf. A similar function was held at Division Office Jammu to bid farewell to Veena Bhasin, Section Officer who also superannuated today. At both the functions the qualities of the retiring officers were hailed and they were wished happy and healthy life after retirement.
A warm farewell was given to the officers and officials of DPL Jammu on their superannuation today. The retirees who were accorded warm send of were SI Chamail Singh SDPO Office Akhnoor, ASI Romesh Chander DSB Jammu, ASI Tarlochan Singh DPL Jammu, SI Gwash Lal DPL Jammu and HC Mohd Farooq Ahmed DPL Jammu (voluntary retired). They were bid farewell by SSP Jamu IPS Dr Sunil Gupta. SP Hqrs Romesh Kotwal, DySP DAR Gourav Mahajan, RI Sohail Rashid and LO Ajay Singh were also present in District Police Lines Jammu. Gift cheques amounting to Rs 50,000 were given to each officer on their retirement.
Warm send of was accorded to senior teacher Tripta Sharma by the students and staff of Government High School Dadowa (Pouni), district Reasi on her retirement on superannuation. She served the Education Department for 43 years. ZEO Pouni Gopal Krishan Sharma was the chief guest of the function while Headmaster Hardeep Singh was also present.
