JAMMU, Aug 1: Cons-equent upon the Cabinet decision, dated July 28, the General Administration Department today issued formal order for creation of separate Department of Horticulture and its inclusion at serial number 16-A in the First Schedule to the Jammu and Kashmir Government Business rules.
As per the order, Horticulture; Horticulture Marketing and Planning; and Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation Limited have been deleted from the Agriculture Production Department and assigned to the Horticulture Department.
Consequent upon this, Serial number 2 of the First Schedule to the J&K Government Business Rules shall be substituted with Agriculture Department assigned the subjects; Agriculture, Agriculture Education, Agro Industries Development Corporation, Applied Nutrition Programme, Command Area Development, Land Use development Board, Rakhs and Farms, SKUAST Jammu/Kashmir, Spl Programme like DDP and DRAP etc, Sericulture.
