MAJALTA, Aug 1: MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania, today said that the new impetus will be given to the development in Ramnagar constituency.
Addressing Janta Darbar cum officers’ meeting at village Paldai of Tehsil Majalta for redressal of day to day problems being faced by the locals of the respective areas via-a-vis reviewing developmental projects and their pace, Pathania said that he stands for raising and resolving the public issues of the area. He further said that his focus shall be on people residing in far-flung and remote areas.
Earlier, Pathania gave patient hearing to several issues projected by the people of the area and issued directions for on spot redressal of the problems projected by the people. He directed officers to ensure that ration is available to every household who figures in the list. He further called for ensuring that sign boards displaying number of souls, stock position, rate list and electronic weighing machines are installed in every fair price shop of the area.
He also directed PWD and PMGSY departments to clear all the roads blocked due to landslide to mitigate the sufferings of the public. Pathania informed that road projects costing about Rs 60-80 crore under PMGSY will be taken up this year and also work on Thial to Chountra Mata road at a cost of 26 crore shall be start very soon.
He also called for early resumption of work on various drinking water supply schemes and creation/augmentation of power stations so that people do not suffer on the account of portable water and erratic power supply. He informed that rope-crossing projects of water pipes in villages Jakhenu and Palnoo will be taken up this year.
Senior officers and district heads of PWD, RDD, Education department, Power Development Department (PDD), Public heath Engineering (PHE), PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Health and other departments were present.
