KARGIL, Aug 1: Four persons including father-daughter were killed when the Alto car, they were travelling in, met with an accident at village Sapi, about 32 kilometers from here late last evening.
Official reports said driver of the Alto car Syed Mustafa son of Syed Ali, a resident of Akchamal, Kargil, was taking juice, the drops of which fell on the car. As he bended to clean the juice drops from the car, he lost control over the vehicle, which rolled down into the gorge killing four persons and injuring a child.
Police officials reached to the spot and shifted the dead and injured to District Hospital, Kargil. Bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families after post-mortem while the injured child was being treated upon in the District Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Syed Mustafa son of Syed Ali, driver of the car and his daughter Haseena Bano, both residents of Akchamal, Hameeda Bano D/o Syed Jaffar Shah of Goma, Kargil and Archo Marzia D/o Syed Hussain of Khandi, Kargil.
Syed Kazim, minor son of Syed Mustafa was injured.
Police have registered a case in the accident for further investigations.
