New Delhi, Aug 2: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar here, to show solidarity with the striking Kashmiri Hindu employees who have abandoned Kashmir Valley in the wake of recent violence after the killing of dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani on July 8.
The agitating employees are on strike for the last 17 days in Jammu. The protest was led by  Ravinder Pandita, head of APMCC Delhi – NCR. While addressing the gathering he demanded that State and Central governments should talk to these employees and redress their grievances. The State Additional. DGP while admitting that certain camps in South Kashmir were attacked by the separatists, DIG South Kashmir has said that no such incident has ever occurred, he added.
He said the recent violence in Kashmir that has begun on July 8 after Burhan Wani’s killing has evoked a total protest across the Valley with separatists calling the shots. There is a complete social boycott with Kashmiri Hindus in the Valley who have been forced thus to leave their hearth and homes and save their lives. Kashmiri Pandits have time and again shown that they are true nationalists and joined employment in the Valley under PM’s package that was started by UPA government. But separatists and anti national forces have always prevailed and created a civil war like situation in the Valley, he added.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Shakdhar former KSD president said that “the problem is grave in Kashmir right now and Government should not remain a silent spectator”. Pradeep Pandita an APMCC activist said “ I am a Kashmiri, not a tourist out here today. We cannot be forced to go back’. Manish Zijoo of APMCC demanded immediate action by Union Home Ministry and State Government as well to address the demands and meet the aspirations of Kashmiri Hindus.
Kundan Kashmir of KPC warned the government of forcing these employees to join their duties in Valley and demanded that they be adjusted outside Kashmir and Pakistan be taught a lesson for fomenting trouble in Valley. He said Kashmir belongs to Pandits and entire nation is behind them in their struggle at this hour.
Other prominent activists that included Anoop Kaul, , Bharat Kachroo, Ravinder Nath Bhat, Kamal Kishore of JKFPS, Amit Raina, , Ravi Regu said that ‘ Isn’t government ashamed that KP’s are in exile for last 27 years’. The activists wore black badges and bands as a mark of protest.
