JAMMU: Over 150 kg of heroin have been seized by BSF personnel along the Indo-Pak border in Punjab sector during this year.
“During the year 2016, BSF has seized heroin weighing 158. 209 kg along the Punjab border,” PRO, BSF, DIG R S Kataria said today.
Keeping in view the vulnerability of border due to heightened activities of smugglers and anti-national elements, BSF has issued operational guidelines to all the sectors and battalions under Punjab Frontier for strengthening the border domination and to remain extra vigilant on the border with Pakistan, he said.
Meanwhile, DIG, BSF (Ferozepur sector) said the tactical operations were being carried out to foil the attempts of the smugglers and anti-national elements. (AGENCIES)
