JAMMU: Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar will lay foundation of IIT Jammu in city outskirts here on August 6.
”Mr Javadekar will lay foundation of prestigious IIT Jammu on August 6 at Khanpur in Nagrota area on city outskirts,” reliable sources here said.
They said that the first session of IIT students may begin this year. Pertinent to mention here that a bill providing for opening six new IITs, including at Jammu and Tirupati was passed on July 25 by the Lok Sabha. (AGENCIES)
