USTA highlights demands

JAMMU, Aug 5: Taking serious note of alleged insensitive attitude of the State Government towards their demand, United School Teachers Association (USTA) has decided to hold day-long protest demonstration and dharna near Press Club Jammu on August 9.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Association, wherein the participants alleged that State Government deliberately adopting a stub born attitude towards the just and genuine demands of State employees in general and teaching community in particular.
The demands of USTA include; adjustment of Masters whose DPC was made in Feb 2014, release of Senior Teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teacher & remove pay anomalies in their grade, release of pending salary, 3rd  4th & 5th installments of 6th Pay Commission of SSA Teachers, release of pay arrears of teacher working  under SSA with effect from June 2013 to Feb 2014, release of seven months salary of newly appointed teachers, implementation  of transfer  policy in letter and spirit, regularization of all ReTs converted from Evs who have completed five years and transfer policy for regularized ReT women teachers. engaging teachers on leave -arrangement against teachers proceeding on leave exceeding one month, starting pre-primary classes in all schools having primary classes, fill vacant posts in schools and debar teachers from non academic duties, withdraw new pension scheme and restore old pension scheme.
