Pedestrian arrested with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Aug 6: Pounichak police arrested a pedestrian and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Pounichak police post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who tried to escape after seeing police cops.
During checking, police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Devinder Singh, son of Prem Singh, a resident of Gho Manhasan.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak police post SI SUMIT Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwar Slathia, SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
