Ensure time bound completion of development projects: Nanda

REASI, Aug 8 : Minister of State for Finance, Planning, IT, Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, CA&PD , Tribal Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Labour and Employment Ajay Nanda today directed the district officers to ensure time bound completion of various developmental projects.
The minister was speaking at a review meeting to take stock of different developmental projects in the district.  The meeting was also aimed at a direct interaction among the officers for better coordination and speedy completion of projects
District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar, ADDC Bhawani Singh Rakwal, ACR Abdul Sattar, CPO H.L. Sharma  and district officers attended the meeting.
While reviewing the targets and achievements registered in different sectors during the current financial year, the MoS stressed upon the officers of various departments to work in close coordination with each other for the timely completion of various developmental works in the district. Besides this,he  directed the officers of  essential services departments to conduct awareness programmes for the common masses of far-flung areas who could not avail the benefits of the various Government schemes due to their ignorance.
Stressing on the need for better sanitation and cleanliness, Nanda directed the CEO Municipality to launch a cleanliness drive both at Reasi and Katra .He sought the cooperation of all departments in making the district clean and urged them to participate in the cleanliness drive whole heartedly.
Earlier, the District Development Commissioner apprised the minister about the targets and achievements of the various departments. The minister was also informed about the physical and financial progress of various developmental projects. Various district officers highlighted the status of the development works and the problems faced in completing them.
Later, the minister also held  a meeting with the  Railway officers to review the ongoing Railway projects in the district in which he asked the concerned authorities to provide sufficient employment opportunities to the locals so that  their socio-economic conditions can be improved.
