Swadesh Darshan Scheme

Sir,
This has a reference to DE news item “Centre sanctions Rs 27.23 Cr worth projects for Jammu under Swadesh Darshan Scheme.” In this connection I would like to request State and Central Govt to extend Swadesh Darshan Scheme to Sudhmahadev Dudu valley to promote it as independent tourist circuit. Pertinent to mention that entire hilly belt from Chenani to Basantgarh is blessed with natural and scenic beauty similar to that of Kashmir valley. This area has rich religious and cultural heritage. The historical heritage of Chenani takes us back to Nineteenth century, when the Powerful Chandel Dynesty Kings from Chanderi (MP) established their kingdom at Mantalai. The archeological footprints in this area, need proper protection and display on tourist map of India.
The Lord Shiva temple at Sudhmahadev enjoys recognised religious importance in North India. The forts and palaces of Chenani State are at the verge of collapse. The famous waterfall at Karlah Patnitop has not received any attention. Mada lake has died. Sanasar Lake is too not better. The another attraction on this land is the religious and archeological importance of Mantalai. The Aparna Ashram of Swami Dhirender Brahmachari is another place of attraction for yoga lovers. The beautiful rich cultural heritage villages Sira and Marothi are places to be visited by tourists. Next very important nature loving valley and mini-township Latti has scenic beauty like Kashmir valley. The long range Dudu  and Jakhed valleys can be spots of tourism potential and once seen the tourists will visit them again and again. The Shiv Gali pass and Basantgarh are the best places to visit. The Kudd, Jatars, Fairs and Festivals of this great valley from Chenani to Basantgarh give unique cultural identity to this land of Duggar. Not one, but there are thousands of tourist spots and religious places to be developed and highlighted. The Govt should sanction special package for this valley and extend Swadesh Darshan Scheme to this erstwhile land of “Himmat Pradesh”.
Yours etc….
