JAMMU, Aug 9: The inhabitants of TRT Nagrota and people in various localities of the Nagrota are facing acute water scarcity due to failure of the PDD to repair or replace the transformer supplying power to Nagrota filter plant which has developed a sang one week back.
Despite the repeated pleas of the people to the concerned authorities they have failed to repair the transformer hitting the water supply in the various localities of Nagrota including TRT.
The inmates of TRT Nagrota including Chand Ji and Ashok Ji have demanded immediate replacement of transformer by new one and restoration of water supply to the area failing which people will come to streets.
The issue was also brought in the notice of Deputy Commissioner Relief by the inmates of the camp during her visit to TRT Nagrota and she assured them that necessary steps will be taken to restore the water supply to the camp.
