Pedestrian arrested with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Aug 9: Pounichak police arrested a pedestrian along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pounichak police post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 72 pouches of illicit liquor pouches from the possession of the person and nabbed him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Baldev Singh, a resident of Gho Manhasa.
A case under Excise Act has been registered at Domana police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak police post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwar Slathia, SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
