JAMMU, Aug 9: J&K Govt Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee (R) urged upon the Govt to remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre and increase Medical allowance of the employees and pensioners.
In a meeting of the Committee held here today under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik state president , the members criticized the Govt for not addressing the long pending demand of the clerical cadre. They demanded that pay anomalies be removed, Medical allowance of the employees and pensioners be increased from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month. They also stressed for regularization of daily wagers.
Meanwhile, J&K Social Welfare & ICDS Employees Union headed by its new president, Farida Bano and general secretary Pawan Kumar also joined the struggle and resolved to accord full cooperation for it. The members of JAC welcomed them. The other members of the SWD Union included Ravinder Singh -chief organizer, Jagdish Chander -general secretary, Javed Iqbal- joint secretary, Suraj Parkash -publicity secretary, Dinesh Kumar -secretary Gargi Singh- advisor, Satish Sharma -press secretary, Rajesh Mehra -organizing secretary and Sunita Bhan as treasurer.
